WARNING “ Your Longevity is Being Threatened
posted on August 7th, 2012
Dear Future Centenarian,
As you know, two key longevity steps, diet and supplements, are outlined in my book, Smart, Strong and Sexy at 100?
And these are now threatened!
Imagine not being able to buy your most effective supplements. Also consider that if your health practitioner recommends them, he or she could be forced out of business.
Imagine some organic foods being eliminated as well.
Finally, what if all this happens over the next few years?
Do you think this is far-fetched? Then take six minutes to watch a trailer of this shocking film that our friend Dr. Gary Null has produced. You can also listen to his commentary¦ and even watch the documentary in its entirety¦ absolutely FREE, courtesy of Dr. Null.
An Austrian business partner of mine lives this nightmare. For example, the only vitamin D he can buy is in miniscule dosages combined with calcium for bone support. Pure vitamin D is ONLY available by prescription and after lectures by MDs that overdosing is dangerous. Then the doctors must say why they think it is necessary.
Doesn™t this strike you as odd in light of the fact that the use of inexpensive dietary supplements had zero reported deaths since the CDC started keeping records “ while properly prescribed expensive drugs kill over 100,000 people in the US every single year?
Now, the same US agency that approves drugs wants to control supplements, just like in Austria and in other countries. They are choking supplements with new expensive and nearly impossible regulations to comply with. They propose to remove all dietary supplements introduced after 1994. These include some of the most advanced and most effective supplements on the market today.
Why all these draconian hurdles? Follow the money. Effective supplements threaten drug profits.
My Austrian friend says, œLuckily, I can order vitamin D from the US over the Internet, but that access is still possible only in small quantities. When I once ordered 10 bottles, they were confiscated by customs!
That's typical for all dietary supplements in many European countries. While uninformed consumers are made to believe that government established recommended daily allowances ensure consumers™ health, they're woefully inadequate in tiny amounts.
You think this can't happen in the US? Then watch this video NOW! Â
This November, a bill may to be passed that could ban important supplements in the US. Regulators want to allow only ingredients that are found naturally in food and in doses so low that they would be nearly useless. Beneficial higher potencies would be taken off the market and would only be available by prescription for brands owned by drug companies.
It gets worse.
NO claim whatsoever, even if there is abundant scientific literature, can be made regarding foods and supplements. Impossible you say. Not here in the USA!
Then consider this: A California firm was recently raided by armed agent from five government agencies for selling... whole milk. These small business people were traumatized with guns and violent threats.
An MD was raided in the same life threatening way, because he prescribed Vitamin B12 to his patients! There are numerous other examples.
It gets worse still. Organic farm owners threatened with arrest and being put out of business by legislature. It goes on and on.
And all by an agency in the name of consumer protection. Their actions make it perfectly clear that they think you are too dumb to take care of yourself. They fully intend to take your health decisions out of your hands and to control you like a puppet.
If you don't believe me, then shut off all distractions now and watch the eye-opening intro to the film. You will be shocked!
Complacency is the regulators™ best ally. So inform all your loved ones, friends and business associates. Inform everyone you care about.
If we can't mobilize enough opposition, this bill will get passed in November. It will strip you of your health freedoms that Life Extension Foundation and others fought so hard to gain for you over two decades ago. And that will be the beginning of the end of your health freedom!
Forget about tonight™s entertainment for a few moments. Take the time to watch it NOW, and include your friends and family.
Don™t make extreme longevity a dream of the past.
What else can you do? After you watch this frightening film (I urge you to watch the whole movie), contact your representatives and make it clear to them that you insist that DSHEA stays in place.
Your body belongs to you¦ not the government. Insist on your right to buy any supplement, consult any therapist or alternative or integrative medicine practitioner, and maintain access to any organic food you choose.
This is one of the most important amendments for a US citizen. Preserve your free speech and free choice in all your own health matters. What you do with your body and your health is up to you, period!
Finally, when you see the FDA's logic regarding genetically modified foods, you™ll realize that consumer protection is their last interest. Their true agenda will shock you.

THE BRAIN IS PLASTIC FOR LIFE Friday, August 3, 2012
We have a great deal more control over the age-related decline of the brain than was once thought - "use it or lose it", and the ability to affect change through challenging the mind. Yet it remains the case that new biotechnology and medicine will be required to get to where we want to be, a world without the risk of dementia, fuzzy memory, and slow cognition.
Still, the plasticity of the aging brain is encouraging: "There is growing evidence that, beyond what was previously believed, the adult human brain is remarkably malleable and capable of new feats - even in the last decades of life.
YET ANOTHER THEORY TO EXPLAIN GENDER DIFFERENCES IN LONGEVITY Friday, August 3, 2012
There is no shortage of theories as to why women live longer than men - an apparently simple question, but one balanced on such a mountain of complex data and partial knowledge that it cannot be definitively answered at the present time. Here is another theory for the stack:
"Mitochondria are inherited only from mothers, never from fathers, so there is no way to weed out mutations that damage a male's prospects.
ENGINEERING VIRUSES TO MAKE A BETTER TARGETED CANCER THERAPY Thursday, August 2, 2012
Some viruses show promise in terms of preferentially attacking cancer cells - but they can be engineered to be far more effective in the role of therapeutic agent: "Parvoviruses specifically kill cancer cells and are already in the clinical trial stage for treating malignant brain tumors.
However, they can also infect normal cells - without doing any harm to them - so a large portion of viruses is lost during therapy. [Researchers] have now modified parvoviruses in such a way that they initially lose their ability to infect cells.
TRACKING AND IDENTIFYING CANCER STEM CELLS Thursday, August 2, 2012
Any commonality in present in varied types of cancer is important, as it provides a potential path to a comparatively low-cost, robust suite of therapies that work for many cancers - and a robust cancer cure is an important component of any future rejuvenation biotechnology toolkit.
Here researchers add some weight to the cancer stem cell hypothesis: "Cancer researchers can sequence tumor cells' genomes, scan them for strange gene activity, profile their contents for telltale proteins and study their growth in laboratory dishes.
INCREASED RESISTANCE TO CELLULAR STRESS COMMON TO MANY FORMS OF INDUCED LONGEVITY Wednesday, August 1, 2012
An open access paper, and an example of the way in which researchers are closing in on common mechanisms that explain the operation of many diverse ways found to extend healthy life in laboratory animals:
"Many mutations that increase animal lifespan also confer stress tolerance, suggesting that cytoprotective mechanisms underpin the regulation of longevity. It has not been established, however, whether the induction of individual cytoprotective pathways is essential for lifespan extension, or merely correlated.
SENS FOUNDATION SEEKING LYSOSOMAL BIOLOGY TEAM LEAD Wednesday, August 1, 2012
A research position is open at the SENS Foundation: "SENS Foundation is hiring for our research center located in Mountain View, CA. We are seeking a team lead for our LysoSENS group to work both on established projects and new independent lysosomal-based research geared towards the SENS mission.
MEASURING IMPAIRED AUTOPHAGY WITH AGING IN THE PANCREAS Tuesday, July 31, 2012
Autophagy is the important collection of processes that break down damaged cellular components and unwanted metabolic byproducts. More autophagy improves the health of the organism and extends longevity, while less autophagy leads to the reverse.
Boosted autophagy appears to contribute strongly to a number of life-extending interventions, including calorie restriction, and researchers have achieved such goals as reverting aged liver function to youthful levels by increasing the effectiveness of autophagic processes. Unfortunately, autophagy declines with age as the cellular components that carry out the process become damaged and overwhelmed by metabolic waste products.
THE POINT OF SLOWING AGING Tuesday, July 31, 2012
This abstract encapsulates the point made by advocates of slowing aging through metabolic manipulation by drugs or other means - that it is a far better approach than the present dominant methodologies of treating various end-stages of aging separately, and by patching over the symptoms rather than treating root causes:
A COMPARATIVE CELLULAR AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY OF LONGEVITY DATABASE Monday, July 30, 2012
Researchers recently announced a database of interesting material on the biology of longevity - one of a growing number of publicly available online databases in this field:
"Discovering key cellular and molecular traits that promote longevity is a major goal of aging and longevity research. One experimental strategy is to determine which traits have been selected during the evolution of longevity in naturally long-lived animal species.
