Karlis Ullis, M.D.
Karlis Ullis, M.D. is an
internationally recognized authority on anti-aging medicine and sports
medicine. He is the author of "Age Right”(Simon & Schuster, 1998), a
ground-breaking book on anti-aging therapy for the consumer. He first
began developing his theories on anti-aging medicine while at UCLA
where he worked with some of the world’s greatest athletes, including
Olympic Gold Medallists Gail Deevers, Jackie-Joyner Kersee, Mike
Powell, and "Flo Jo" Joyner, among others. When he began applying
these advanced anti-aging techniques to patients in his private
practice, the results were startling: Middle-aged men and women who
had accepted a decline in their health as a "fact-of-life" were
re-vitalized - physically, intellectually and sexually. He is one of
the world’s foremost sports medicine physicians, and is on the
Scientific Advisory Board of the Life Extension Foundation. Since
1978, Dr. Ullis has focused on sports medicine care for UCLA
intercollegiate athletes, recreational athletes, and world-class
athletes. His work includes metabolic, hormonal and nutritional
interventions, with pertinent applications in the anti-aging arena. He
is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Anti-Aging Medicine, a
quarterly, international, peer-reviewed publication that

Christopher B. Heward, Ph.D.
Christopher B. Heward, Ph.D. is the Vice President of
Research and Development at The Kronos Group, dedicated to longevity
research. Dr. Heward’s primary responsibility is providing leadership
to the scientific and technical activities within Kronos’ Corporate,
Practice Management, Laboratory and Pharmaceutical divisions. He
oversees the development and implementation of the biochemical and
physiological testing program; assists in designing and refining the
clinical intervention program; directs and coordinates product
research and development efforts; develops, analyzes and administers
laboratory and patient databases; and shares Kronos’ discoveries and
advances to both lay and scientific audiences. His primary area of
scientific interest is molecular endocrinology - the study of hormone
action at the molecular level. He is one of the co-inventors of a
patented "magic bullet" analog of alpha-MSH, which was developed to
image metastatic melanoma tumors in cancer patients. His research on
the endocrinology of aging has confirmed his belief that aging itself
is biological and not chronological, and that aging may be stopped, or
at least slowed, if its fundamental mechanisms can be understood. He
is a senior research fellow for the UCLA Program on Medicine,
Technology, and Society and has been an active contributor to the
development of a new, privately sponsored program at UCLA designed to
establish critical future milestones for aging research. Dr. Heward
holds Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology, Biology and Chemistry and a
Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Arizona, Tucson.

Kathleen Cotter, D.C.
Kathleen Cotter, D.C. holds a doctorate in
Chiropractic through Southern California University of Health Sciences
and has received certifications in several other areas. Born in 1957,
she is one of the so-called “baby boomer” generation. She has an
extensive background in the health field spanning almost 25 years. She
is certified through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine in
conjunction with New York Chiropractic College as an anti-aging
practitioner and was the director of the Lifespan Anti-Aging Center in
Los Angeles until recently, when she began working with the Maximum
Life Foundation. Her past experience includes training in a hospital
E.R. as a certified emergency medical technician. She was surprised by
the amount of people who came into the E.R. with illnesses and
diseases she felt sure could have been avoided with a healthier
lifestyle - sometimes as little as exercise or a change in diet. So
many of them looked 10 or 15 years older than their actual age. It was
during that time that she began to study holistic medicine and her
interest in the human body and how proper exercise and nutrition
affect the way we look and feel. She has devoted more than 20 years to
the study of Alternative and Natural Medicine and has trained
extensively in clinical nutrition. She is the inventor of
“Create-a-Diet”, the first computer-generated diet program. She is
the President and co-founder of virtualhealthfair.com, an Internet
health resource site and online health expo. She is also one of the
founders of Cells4Life, a company providing viable cell storage for
humans, pets, and endangered species. She currently serves on the
boards of four companies and two non-profit organizations. She is also
currently working with Maximum Life Foundation as the director of
project development. She has been using her knowledge and experience
in the health field, especially in the area of longevity, to help
develop and coordinate The Longevity Bootcamp.
